NEWS REPORT: BLACKSBURG, VA – Mother Says Murder Victim Nicole Lovell Was Bullied By Classmates

BLACKSBURG, VA – As details surrounding the abduction and murder of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell emerge, her mother reveals that her daughter had been extensively bullied at school and cyberbullied by classmates at Blacksburg Middle School.

"She didn’t like going to school because she was bullied. She was telling me that girls were saying she was fat and talking about her scars from her transplant. We discussed it with teachers, but it got worse. It got so bad I wouldn’t send her."

Tammy Weeks, mother of Nicole Lovell

The bullies at her school would find a way to make Nicole’s life harder even when she wasn’t at school — going as far as using social media to cyberbully her online.

Two Virginia Tech students have been charged in her murder:

– David Edmond Eisenhauer, 18, of Columbia, Maryland, charged with 1st degree murder and abduction.

– Natalie Marie Keepers, 19, of Laurel, Maryland, charged with felony improper disposal of a body and a misdemeanor charge of accessory after the fact in the commission of a felony.

Apparently 18-year-old Eisenhauer met the 13-year-old Lovell through an online dating site. “It was some off-the-wall site I never heard of, that’s all I know,” Nicole’s mother says.

A family member discovered her missing from her bedroom located at Lantern Ridge Apartments in Blacksburg.  At 7AM on Wednesday, an uncle came to give Nicole her medicine for a liver condition she had which was related to a liver transplant. He was unable to enter her room after finding a dresser pushed up against her bedroom door.

Lovell’s body was discovered Saturday in Surry County, NC. She had reportedly been stabbed to death.
